Project Abstract
Vesmark is a Pittsburgh-based financial planning company, who has spent
more than a decade in the development, testing, and pre-prototype creation of
its patented Smartware™ system. It is currently collaborating with the Master
of Software Engineering program at Carnegie Mellon University’s School of
Computer Science on transforming the existing paper-based Vesmark system into
an actual software prototype.
The purpose of the Vesmark Smartware™ system is to provide American families
with the knowledge and power to make prudent financial decisions, especially
on how to increase personal savings. The system should be easy to use,
provide immediate reward to the user, require minimal user effort, and
provide an automated and smart capability to perform the necessary financial
calculations and projections scaled to the user’s level of financial
expertise.
This will be the first prototype version of the Vesmark Smartware™ system,
which will include enough functionality to be marketed to potential
licensees, but will not be feature complete. |
