Absence of clarity in design documents has often misled offshore developers to implement wrong features. In order to solve this problem, Bosch is envisioning a tool which can facilitate design collaboration in a global setting. They are expecting a prototype tool which can help architectures to conform to certain pre-decided contracts and enable architects located onshore (Germany) to negotiate and explain the architecture to their offshore counterparts. This would also help solve their domain knowledge transfer problem in such a globally distributed setup.
