Working Hours

  In spring 2006: 

  2 people(New York): 12 hours
  3 people(Pittsburgh): 12 hours
  5 x 12 = 60 hours/per week

  We work 6 days a week and 12 hours a week
  Each sprint is 3 weeks: 60 * 3 = 180 hours (per sprint)

  In summer 2006: 

  1 person(New York): 36 hours
  3 people(Pittsburgh): 48 hours
  1 x 36 + 3 x 48 = 180 hours/per week

  We work 5 days a week
  People in New York should contribute 36/5 ~ 7 hours/per day
  People in Pittsburgh should contribute 48/5 ~ 10 hours/per day
  Each sprint is 11 days: (180/5) * 11 = 396 hours (per sprint)
